Bare Bones Trailblazer 2023 I can't say how much I appreciate being named as a Bare Bones Trailblazer for 2023.
It's been a long and fun ride for me in the film making world. I'd made a few movies when I was a kid using my Dad's 8mm
Bell&Howell movie camera. They were fairly awful.
If you need proof, you can find them on my YouTube Channel with a lot of other stuff. Music tracks. Story Boards. Grand
kid movies. Short films. Even the animated feature Mighty Behemoth. We're not talking Steven Spielberg here.
Still. Over the years I've won a lot of contests and received award recognition for such things as Best Screenplay. Best
Movie Soundtrack. Best Animated feature. Best Oklahoma Soil. My films have been shown around the country, including New York
City, Miami Florida and Pasadena California, Texas and elsewhere.
With hopes of gather a collective of like-minded filmmakers, I began offering film making courses for ICTC, at the Tahlequah
Campus. The course evolves and improves with each successive class. For the same reason, I've opened a Facebook Group called
Hollywood Tahlequah Movie Makers and began developing a horror movie concept that I intend to pitch once the Script and concept
trailer are finished. Members of the group are invited to contribute and become part of a core production team.
Thus far, there are more curious bystanders than participants. With luck, some of them will realize the potential and
start getting their hands dirty. Development status of the BAD FINGERS project is regularly updated and interested parties
can learn a lot by following along.
HOLLYWOOD TAHLEQUAH MOVIE MAKERS is an open group so feel free to join and share your own projects. By next year, I hope
to have completed another short film that combines animation and live action and digital set extensions. The project has experienced
a number of setbacks, but it's worth saving.
If all goes according to plan, we'll re-film the actors May of 2023 and the completed movie will be ready to screen a
few months later. Fingers crossed. Many thanks to ShIron Butterfly Ray and the Bare Bones International Film and Music Festival
